Dr. James A Dillon Spray Park

This little event happened about 2 weeks ago and I just haven't had the time to post them so here it is!  On Thursday afternoons I like to take Sarah to a park of some sort, we call it Park Night lol.  So this week which like I said was 2 weeks ago we went to a spray park in Noblesville with Lauren, Brayden, Jacob, Amanda and Eli.  It was pretty fun and Sarah loved it but that is because she loves loves loves water!  We take her bucket so she can fill it up with water and dump it on me or whomever.  It was a great time and I love going to the spray parks since it makes her happy. 

St. Simon Festival...PART TWO!!!

So when we left the festival on Friday night we had 6 extra tickets and my sister had 4.  Well I didn't want my money to go to waste since it was $1.50 a ticket!!!  So since Carolyn wanted to go...cause we talked about it a week before we went back and was Sarah excited or what.  So this time we started off with the bounce house stuff because those were the ones that required different tickets.  But before we went there I said that Sarah wanted to get her face painted.  The thing was is that she didn't get her face painted she got her arm painted but it was because the lady said she could do sleeping beauty on her arm which would match Sleeping Beauty on her shirt.  Sarah loved it so much and then Norah got hers so they matched well Norah had butterflies.  So after the girls got their arms painted and went through the bounce house we went over to get the other tickets for the rides.  The girls just had so much fun together and they always do and I enjoyed having one of my best friends with me (Carolyn).  At the end of the night Sarah and Norah tried a game where you through the darts and if you pop a balloon you get a prize.  I felt bad I didn't think they would win but it was so great Norah threw a dart and then she popped a balloon 2 seconds later Sarah threw a dart and SHE popped a balloon too!!!!  They both picked out the blue little alien it was a great night!

Raymond Park/Indy Island

The original plan for Saturday was to take our first swimming trip out on the boat for the year. The sad thing was that it was raining and not the nicest day to go out on the boat or go to an outdoor pool or spray park. So being that I know all the parks around town I thought about the indoor pools and decided that we would go and have fun there! Sarah loves to swim and I just knew this was the thing that would make her day! So my sister came with me to Indy Island and we ha a great time, although she didn't swim. There was a little section for the little kids like mine where it was only like a foot or two deep and she could go down a slide that was her size and play with the wheels to turn water on and off but she was just more interested in going down the slide all the different ways she could think of...on her tummy, on her bum, and head first which I had to stop her from doing because I just did not think that it was a good idea, I mean hello three year old head first in water...hmm no! So we finally left and as we were leaving my sister sees the Popsicle machine and wanted one and so I bought one for all three of us and Sarah was so happy about that! It was a fun time and I enjoyed swimming with my baby girl!

St. Simon Part One...yes Part one!

So I knew that the St. Simon festival was going to be at the school on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and I thought it would be really fun to take Sarah.  I wasn't going to take her on Thursday because of bedtime but I always try to do something really fun on Friday's you know because it's the weekend!  So we went to the St. Simon Festival with my sister.  It was a blast I had so much fun watching Sarah have SO MUCH FUN.  Sarah really enjoyed all the rides and wanted to go on them over and over and over again.  We went to the front because they had bouncy houses and face painting and Sarah wanted to do those things but they required different tickets I was like WHAT!  So we didn't end up doing those things and we walked on home since it was only like .2 miles away from our house.  We had 6 left over tickets and so I told Sarah that there was a chance we could come back the next day. 

Gram-gram came to Indiana!!!!!!

This week was so fun because my Gram-gram was in town!  Which is so exciting for Sarah because that is her great-grandmother!  We had a very relaxing week not doing much!  She got here on Tuesday and we both arrived home at the same time!  So we relaxed and had a steak dinner!  Everyone knows I love steak.  Well Sarah has never eaten a lot of steak but you know she is only 3.  So she told my dad that she didn't want any steak and my dad said to her try one piece so she did and then shouted that she loved it and wanted more.  I was very proud of the dinner she ate, she ate the steak and also had mashed potatoes and Lima beans and got to sit next to Gram.  The next day she went to her dads but showed Gram her swimming abilities in her pool and how much she loved to swim.  The next day was the last day we really had with Gram, my dad, my sister and her went to Edinburgh and they came home and showed us the stuff that they got and Sarah got a very cute shirt from Gram.  We had another great dinner that I was again impressed with the amount that Sarah ate!  Sarah actually ate ribs!!  She totally cleared two bones saying I want more I want more...that's my girl!  We took some pictures that night just to remember Gram's visit because it is always so nice to see her!

Zebra Pool Fun!

So it was HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT outside the other day and it is now POOL season so of course I got out Sarah's zebra pool that she got last year for her birthday!!!!!!!  She loves it!!  It came with a little blow up slide and Sarah decided that it was to small!  She didn't like it so she came up to me and said MOMMY CAN YOU GET MY ORANGE SLIDE!  I was like yes honey and so with that she had way more fun!  She didn't play very long it got later and so it got colder but we are letting the water warm up from the sun!

Uncle Frazier Turned 60!!!!

So this weekend the family got together to celebrate my Uncle's 60th birthday...sadly for this we were missing my cute little wonderful Sarah and my brother Andrew. It was so nice to see everyone although time always seems to be limited when we see our family, but it was so nice. The first night we saw my Uncle Warren and Aunt Yeong along with my two cousins Justin and Kristin. We didn't really do much we ate dinner in the lobby and then April and I went to bed and I think she and I fell asleep in like 5.5 seconds! So the next morning we get up and we get ready and my Aunt Yeong took Kristin, April, and I out to lunch at Olive Garden and I had a lot of fun because I don't get to see my aunt and my cousin a lot and they're amazing to be around! We get back to the hotel and everyone gets ready for my Uncle's big family dinner at the Minakoda Country Club (it was no jeans, so everyone looked nice) So we are all ready and down in the lobby waiting for everyone and then we drive over to the country club and at first I wasn't sure if my dad knew where he was going but we got there none the less! So the dinner was very nice the whole family was finally together and I got to see my four older cousins and three of their husbands and two kids. My cousin Sarah and her husband Andy have two beautiful kids!!!!!!!!!! Brynn and Drew...Brynn is a year younger than Sarah, but she is just a peach!!! She was so polite and was being such a good girl, and when I got to hold Drew he was just smiling and so happy AND eating my hair! I was blessed to finally get to meet him and I always love seeing Brynn! I was just sad that Sarah and Brynn didn't get to play with each other! My sister at my Gram-gram's 80th birthday party fell in love with Brynn and couldn't wait to see her again and my sister who is in love with babies couldn't wait to meet Drew either, so when she got the chance she was super happy!

So everyone socializes and we finally sit down to eat dinner. We had this very fancy tomato salad that wasn't that bad! I wasn't sure about it at first but after I tried it I liked it! As the plates for dinner were being brought out my dad sees what is on the plate and says to me, "You better turn around and give your Uncle a BIG hug!" It was STEAK and I am a big big steak eater! I was so excited it was New York Strip Steak and it was delicious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 
 
 

So my dad makes a toast to his older brother as we are all celebrating his 60th birthday and then my uncle Frazier starts opening some things and he gets a snuggie...we find that it is the perfect time to have my uncle open the card my dad got him!  It was a big card that says on the front 'A long long long time ago' and then you open it...and it says 'you were born!'  My dad thought it was so funny as did I am it was the perfect time to give it to him since he looked like someone from Star Wars!!!!  It was funny!!!!!!!!!

So we go back to the hotel and April, Kristin and I were SOOOOO bored and our Uncle Frazier told us that there was a target downtown that was open 24 hours so we were like oh lets go to Target since we are bored!! My dad lets us take the car we plug in Target in the GPS and turn on the music and go. Well the GPS takes us around and said to us that we had arrived at our destination but we didn't see it...well I saw it when I passed it so I had to go around and find it again, but I missed the parking AGAIN, but as I drove around I found another one and just pulled in there thinking we could walk a few feet. So I pull in and PAY 5 DOLLARS to park and we start to walk in and it said Target Walkway this way and so we are following it...ONLY TO FIND OUT THAT IT WASN'T A TARGET!!!!!! It was a target field!! We were so mad and laughing at the same time. So we went downstairs and asked an officer if he knew where one was and he said no...but there was a walmart out in the suburbs but they were like 20 miles away. So I get back to the car and plug in walmart and it is only like 5 miles away...so we venture out there we are listening to the music and just having fun with each other and we pass a Target but I am like no no no it's not open...hahaha!! So we keep on driving to the Walmart and I roll up to a STOP SIGN...well I am sitting there WAITING on a GREEN LIGHT! When it finally occurs to me that I am waiting on myself it is the funniest thing and I can't stop laughing. AND I am on the phone with my friend Carolyn and she is telling me a really funny story and I start bursting out laughing and I scare Kristin and April!! Anyways we finally find the Walmart only to find out that IT IS CLOSED!!! I was like WHAT all the Walmarts in Indiana are open 24 hours! So we drive back and the Target we passed that I swore was closed DID look open and so we went to see and yes it was but it was closing in 6 minutes, so we run in just so that we could not be bored for a second!! We get in there and we found some stuff and they started to turn the lights off so we were like omgsh it is time to go! We drive back and end our night...:-(

The next day was just a casual dinner at my Uncle Frazier's house and it was so awesome! We all just talked and caught up with each other since we normally only see each other once a year and of course we all have facebook but you know seeing each other is better! We played this Frisbee game that I really sucked at but it was still way fun to watch and I only played once because again I suck!
